“Amplify Symmetrically” – Realign and Expand Major League Baseball Divisions Option 1

That Professional Baseball League has gone from America’s Pass Time to Passing Wind, from Big Mac to Bite Size Burger, from Hip Hop to Hip Pity Hop. Translation, Major League Baseball has “Gone with the Wind”, it is still living in the pass, other sports have evolved, or shall I say, kept pace with the current times and trends.

 

How else could you explain the M. L. B. overlooking the obvious? The Divisions are out of alignment!!! Purposely perpetuating 6 team, 5 team, and 4 team Divisions, baseball big wigs are suppose to be smarter than a 5^th grader, I just don’t get it, nothing makes sense, so let’s help baseball leaders fix there mismatch divisions. One Option, enlarge Major League Baseball Divisions from 6 to 8, having 4 teams in each division, adding 2 new expansion teams, one in each league.

 

American League

 

The East Division would consist of: New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, and Toronto Blue Jays. The West Division would include: Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, and Colorado Rockies (changing leagues from the National League West). The new North Division includes the following teams: Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, and Minnesota Twins. Finally the new South Division is as follow: Texas Rangers (from the West Division), Kansas City Royals (from the old Central Division), Houston Astros (changing leagues, from the old National Central Division), and a expansion team, choosing from the following cities: Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Tennessee or Nashville, or New Orleans.

 

National League

 

The East Division contain the following organizations: New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates (from the old Central Division), and Washington Nationals. The National League West Division embodies the: Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks. The new National League North Division encompasses the following members: Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, and Milwaukee Brewers. The new South Division the final 4 teams come together: Atlanta Braves (from the East Division), Florida Marlins (from the East Division), Tampa Bay Rays (changing leagues, from the American League East Division), and a expansion team, choosing from the following cities: Charlotte,  Indianapolis, Kentucky or Louisville, or Jacksonville. With Option 1 new realignment, there would be no wild card teams in the playoffs, just Division Winners.

 

Realign and Expand or tumble like the weeds, ok, sure I realize baseball has and probably will continue to be pass down from generation to generation, but that doesn’t mean because my father wore a pair of Stacy Adams Shoes, I would be incline to do the same. I would rather stay with the current styles. Times have changed; nowadays, it’s ok for men to walk around wearing one or two ear rings, without somebody dropping a feather beside him. If Baseball doesn’t get it together, they will become a little more than an after thought to future generations, because there are a lot of competitions, and it will continue to increase, for peoples hard earned entertainment dollars. Think about it, what else can I really do and recreate with, let’s say $70 dollars. How many ways and how many times can I unwind, relax, and enjoy? The options are enlist, particularly in a city that has a Major League Baseball Team, one knows, it’s definitely not the only game in town, nor a one trick pony in a one horse townJ Thank you, thank you, please, no autographsJ Come on Baseball Powers, can’t we, at the very least, look professional – figuratively speaking I guess?
